The Truth About Lifting
I am a big fan of lifting. I have been doing it for years but I only recently became interested in all that lifting does for your body. Here it is in a nutshell; strength training triggers a rise in growth hormone signaling to cells to release fat for fuel. Simultaneously as you are building muscle you are stripping away fat. As exciting as this can be, I spent years lifting without seeing results.
Results can be easily undone in the kitchen. I wasted so much time trying to build muscle but undermined my health with sugar. Sugar triggers an insulin response which causes you to store fat because sugar is a more readily available fuel!
